Kelly Racing and Garry Rodgers Motorsport have confirmed their enduro cup lineups for the 2019 season.
GRM will continue with Chris Pither and Richard Muscat for this year’s PIRTEK Enduro Cup following a solid display in last year’s enduros. Both drivers will be behind the wheel at the Winton additional driver session on Saturday morning.
Richard Muscat is expected to team up with James Golding in car #34 whilst Pither will join forces with Richie Stanaway in car #33. Pither and Garth Tander combined to finish a strong 6th at Bathurst last year.
Team manager Barry Rodgers said
“Chris Pither and Richard Muscat have been a part of what we
“When you are chopping and changing each time you seem to go back to square one.”
Over at Nissan Altima squad Kelly Racing, Dale Wood will rejoin the team to partner Rick Kelly in car #15. Wood has experience in the Altima, racing full-time for the team in 2016 and currently leads the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia standings.
Wood was also an Enduro co-driver in 2018, partnering Tim Blanchard in the CoolDrive Commodore to 19th in the Enduro Cup standings.
It was also announced earlier this week that Super2 driver Bryce Fullwood will partner Andre Heimgartner in car #7 in the enduros. Fullwood currently sits top of the Super2 series standings in an MW Motorsport Nissan Altima and will enter his second Enduro Cup campaign after partnering Todd Hazelwood in 2018.
Both David Russell and Dean Fiore have been linked with partnering Gary Jacobson and Simona de Silvestro in the two remaining Nissan Altimas but at the time of writing both Russell and Fiore were not fully confirmed.
The 2019 Enduro Cup drivers are expected to be in action at Winton’s additional driver practice session this Saturday morning.
