PIRTEK will leave the BTCC at the end of the 2019 season, ending a 15-year assocation with the Jordan family and the BTCC.

Mike and Andrew Jordan’s association with PIRTEK began when the company first sponsored Mike Jordan in the British GT Championship, and the name first appeared in the BTCC in 2006 on Mike Jordan’s Honda Integra Type R.

PIRTEK’s assocation with Andrew Jordan began in his junior days with the company providing sponsorship in rallycross and the Renault Clio Cup before following him into the BTCC when he made his debut in 2008.

In February 2018 PIRTEK and Andrew Jordan announced that their partnership would be extended until the end of the 2021 BTCC season. However, on Thursday Andrew Jordan announced on his Twitter profile that PIRTEK would be leaving the BTCC at the end of 2019, bringing an end to a relationship which included a BTCC title in 2013 and 21 race wins.

With no firm plans in for 2020 yet, Jordan will focus on completing the 2019 with West Surrey Racing and the new BMW 3 series and target the title in his final year with PIRTEK sponsorship.
