DTM newcomers R-Motorsport have unveiled the first images of the new-for-2019 Aston Martin Vantage which they will use in the 2019 DTM championship.
2019 driver and 2010 series champion Paul di Resta
Post-shakedown, di Resta said
“The team has done an incredibly good job of bringing such a beautiful and highly driveable racing car onto the track in such a short time. Right from the roll-out, everything was working perfectly, and I immediately had a good feeling in the car. I’m now looking forward to it to the first test session tomorrow.”
Aston Martin will be making their DTM debut as a constructor in 2019 with the cars being run by Vynamic GmbH, a joint venture between HWA AG and AF Racing AG. HWA previously ran the Mercedes works program in the DTM before the Stuttgart-based manufactuere left the DTM at the end of last year.
Paul di Resta will be joined by fellow Mercedes refugee Daniel Juncadella, and two DTM rookies in Jake Dennis and Ferdinand Habsburg.
