2019 Toyota Corolla BTCC Breaks Cover In Oulton Park Test

The brand new Team Toyota GB Corolla prepared by Speedworks Motorsport broke cover for the first time on Friday at Oulton Park.

The car, driven by 2018 series runner up Tom Ingram will head to Spain next week to begin a full testing programme before the 2019 season begins on the 6th/7th April at Brands Hatch Indy.

2019 sees Toyota return to the BTCC as a constructor for the first time since the end of 1995, with the new Corolla running in a camouflage livery in testing before a full livery reveal in the coming weeks.

After driving the car for the first time in the shakedown, Ingram said.

“The car looks amazing – which is credit to all the Speedworks boys, who have done a cracking job as always – and it’s an absolute honour to be representing Toyota GB in this new British-built beast. Today is essentially a shakedown test, but we’ll truly be putting the Corolla through its paces in Spain next week and I can’t wait to see what it can do!
